This policy describes how SRL TECH-SERVICE (operator of the Playland brand) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit the playland.be store, place an order or contact us. We act as data controller within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”).

2. Data we collect

  • Identity and contact details: last name, first name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number (optional).
  • Order data: products ordered, amounts, purchase history, selected pickup point.
  • Payment data: processed directly by our approved payment providers. We never have access to your full bank card number.
  • Browsing data: IP address, device type, pages viewed, via cookies and similar technologies.
  • Correspondence: content of the messages you send us (email, contact form).

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Fulfilling your order (processing, delivery, invoicing, after-sales service) — legal basis: performance of the contract.
  • Handling returns and refunds — legal basis: performance of the contract and legal obligations.
  • Accounting and tax obligations — legal basis: legal obligation.
  • Answering your questions — legal basis: legitimate interest in providing good customer service.
  • Improving the store and measuring traffic — legal basis: legitimate interest or consent, depending on the type of cookie.
  • Marketing communications (newsletter) — legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Recipients of your data

Your data may be shared with the following categories of recipients, only to the extent necessary:

  • Shopify International Limited — hosting and running the store;
  • our carriers and logistics providers — to deliver your order (and, for pickup point delivery, to pass on the point you chose);
  • our payment providers — to process transactions securely;
  • our analytics tools — to understand how the site is used;
  • our accounting advisers — for our legal obligations;
  • the authorities where required by law.

5. Transfers outside the European Union

Some of our providers may be based outside the European Economic Area. In that case, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards provided for by the GDPR (in particular the European Commission's standard contractual clauses).

6. Retention periods

  • Order data and invoices: 7 years (Belgian accounting and tax obligations);
  • Customer account data: for the duration of the relationship, then deleted after 3 years of inactivity;
  • Marketing data: 3 years from the last contact or until you withdraw your consent;
  • Cookies: according to their lifespan, shown in your browser.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights: access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, portability, and withdrawal of your consent at any time.

To exercise these rights, write to info@playland.be. We will reply within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Belgium) — autoriteprotectiondonnees.be.

8. Cookies

The store uses cookies that are needed for it to work (cart, session, security) and, with your consent, analytics and personalisation cookies. You can set or refuse non-essential cookies via the consent banner or your browser settings.

9. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure: encrypted connection (HTTPS), restricted access, compliant providers.
